Change in Discount Rate for Water Resources Planning
The Water Resources Planning Act of 1965 and the Water Resources Development Act of 1974 require an annual determination of a discount rate for Federal water resources planning. The discount rate for Federal water resources planning for fiscal year 2013 is 3.75 percent. Discounting is to be used to convert future monetary values to present values.
Notice of Public Scoping Meetings for the Pojoaque Basin Regional Water System Environmental Impact Statement, New Mexico
Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended, the Bureau of Reclamation is preparing an environmental impact statement for the Pojoaque Basin Regional Water System. As part of that process, Reclamation will host five public scoping meetings to provide information on the project and to solicit input on the scope of the document, alternatives, concerns, and issues to be addressed in the environmental impact statement.
Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report for Yolo Bypass Salmonid Habitat Restoration and Fish Passage, California
The Bureau of Reclamation and California Department of Water Resources intend to prepare an environmental impact statement/ environmental impact report (EIS/EIR) for the implementation of actions I.6.1 and I.7 identified in the National Marine Fisheries Service's 2009 Biological Opinion and Conference Opinion on the Long-term Operation of the Central Valley Project and State Water Project Reasonable and Prudent Alternative. These actions consist of salmonid habitat restoration efforts within the lower Sacramento River basin and fish passage through the Yolo Bypass. We are seeking suggestions and information on the alternatives and topics to be addressed and any other important issues related to the proposed action.
