The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) will be meeting at the time and location listed above. The Board will vote on a consent agenda consisting of the minutes of the October 23, 2013 meeting and the full set of amended By-Laws reflecting changes previously adopted by the Board and proposed technical amendments. The members of the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) will meet in a closed session to consider the appointment of a General Counsel. This meeting will be closed to public observation pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 552b(c)(6) in order to protect the privacy interests of candidates considered but not selected for the position. In accordance with the Government in the Sunshine Act and BBG policies, the meeting will be recorded and a transcript of the proceedings, subject to the redaction of information protected by 5 U.S.C. 552b(c)(6), will be made available to the public. In accordance with section 22.5 of Circular A-11, the BBG has determined that its meeting should be closed to public observation pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 552b(c)(9)(B). As directed by the National Defense Authorization Act for 2013 and amendments to the U.S. Information and Educational Exchange Act, the Broadcasting Board of Governors issues a rule which establishes procedures for responding to domestic requests for the Agency's program materials. The Agency may, upon request, provide members of the public, organizations, and media with program materials which the Agency disseminated abroad.
