Postal Service Price Changes
The Commission is conducting a review of the Postal Service's planned rate adjustments for essentially all products in the market dominant category, which includes the First-Class stamp, and limited classification changes. The adjustments are generally based on a method that relies on a price cap tied to annual changes in the consumer price index and, in some instances, also draws on unused or ``banked'' pricing authority. This document invites public comment and discusses other matters related to the Commission's review and the Postal Service's anticipated implementation of new rates.
