Submission of Information Collection for OMB Review; Comment Request; Liability for Termination of Single-Employer Plans
The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is requesting that the Office of Management and Budget (``OMB'') extend approval without change, under the Paperwork Reduction Act, of a collection of information contained in its regulation on Liability for Termination of Single-Employer Plans (OMB control number 1212-0017; expires May 31, 2017). This notice informs the public of PBGC's intent and solicits public comment on the collection of information.
Benefits Payable in Terminated Single-Employer Plans; Interest Assumptions for Paying Benefits
This final rule amends the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation's regulation on Benefits Payable in Terminated Single- Employer Plans to prescribe interest assumptions under the regulation for valuation dates in June 2017. The interest assumptions are used for paying benefits under terminating single-employer plans covered by the pension insurance system administered by PBGC.
