Benefits Payable in Terminated Single-Employer Plans; Interest Assumptions for Paying Benefits
This final rule amends the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation's regulation on Benefits Payable in Terminated Single- Employer Plans to prescribe interest assumptions under the regulation for valuation dates in February 2016. The interest assumptions are used for paying benefits under terminating single-employer plans covered by the pension insurance system administered by PBGC.
Privacy Act of 1974; Systems of Records
Pursuant to the Privacy Act of 1974, 5 U.S.C. 552a, the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is proposing to make the following changes to PBGC-6, an existing system of records: (1) Revise the Categories of Individuals Covered by the System, (2) revise the Categories of Records in the System, (3) revise an existing routine use, (4) add two new routine uses, (5) revise the Safeguards, and (6) revise the Record Source Categories. PBGC is also proposing to make the following changes to PBGC-9, an existing system of records: (1) Revise the Categories of Records in the System, (2) revise an existing routine use, (3) add a new routine use, and (4) revise the Safeguards.
