In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice invites the public to comment on the collection of information by the Peace Corps and gives notice of the Peace Corps' intention to request Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval of the information collection. The Peace Corps' Office of Strategic Information, Research and Planning wishes to survey a sample of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers about their feelings about their in-country experience, post-service transition, post-service education and career, and their third core goal activities of promoting a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans. The data collected will inform agency programming and help the Agency to assess, through updated and objective data, the extent of RPCVs' cross-cultural activities with their family, friends, and communities throughout the United States with whom RPCVs come in contact. The data will be used specifically by the Office of Domestic Programs to review the range and type of services and support available to RPCVs and by the Office of Strategic Information, Research, and Planning to support Agency level reporting.

The Peace Corps Office of Communications invites comments on the information collection request as required pursuant to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1981 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35). This notice announces that the Peace Corps Office of Communications has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget a request to approve the use of: PC-836, Peace Corps 50th Anniversary Archive Submission Form (On-line Version) (06/2008); PC-837, 50th Anniversary Archive Project Material Submission Authorization and Agreement (Print Version) (06/2008); PC- 839, 50th Anniversary Archive Submission Guidelines (06/2008); and PC- 841, 50th Anniversary Archive (Print Version) (06/2008). The purpose of this notice is to allow for comments on whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for proper performance of the functions of the Peace Corps' Office of Communications; including whether the information will have practical use; the accuracy of the agency's estimate of the burden of the proposed collection of information, including the validity of the methodology and assumptions used; ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarify of the information to be collected; and ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information to on those who are to respond, including through the use of automated collection techniques, when appropriate, and other forms of technology. The initial Federal Register notice was published on July 2, 2008, Volume 73, No. 128, pgs. 37997-37998 for 60 days. Also available at GPO Access: wais.access.gpo.gov. In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice invites the public to comment on the collection of information by the Peace Corps' Office of Communications, and gives notice of the Peace Corps' intention to request Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval of the information collection. The Peace Corps' Office of Communications wishes to solicit stories and pictures from Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and other members of the public concerning the experience of Volunteers over the past 50 years. The submitted material will be used as a part of celebrations of Peace Corps' 50th anniversary in 2011. When Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and other members of the public submit stories and/or pictures, Peace Corps will request information identifying the submitter, his or her rights to the material submitted, a non-exclusive license for Peace Corps to use the material, contact information of the submitter, and information regarding the submitter's Peace Corps service, if any. Although submission of stories and pictures is voluntary, submitters will be required to fill out the forms for which Peace Corps is seeking approval.
