The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is issuing for public comment a draft regulatory guide (DG), DG-1393, ``Guide for Assessing, Monitoring, and Mitigating Aging Effects on Electrical Equipment Used in Nuclear Power Generating Stations.'' This proposed DG describes methods that are acceptable to the NRC staff to use for assessing, monitoring, and mitigating aging effects on electrical equipment used in nuclear power generating stations.
