The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will convene a teleconference meeting of the Advisory Committee on the Medical Uses of Isotopes (ACMUI) on October 17, 2019, to discuss the draft report of the ACMUI Training and Experience Subcommittee. This report will include the subcommittee's comments and recommendations on its review of the NRC staff's evaluation of the training and experience requirements for radiopharmaceuticals under title 10 Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 35.300, ``Use of unsealed byproduct material for which a written directive is required.'' The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is granting an exemption under its regulations to the U.S. Navy from the decommissioning requirements as it relates to six Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators (RTGs). The approval would allow the in-situ abandonment of six RTGs on the ocean bottom and subsequent termination of Naval Radioactive Materials Permit No. 45-4650-N1NP, Naval Nuclear Power Unit, Port Hueneme, California.

Pursuant to the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is publishing this regular biweekly notice. The Act requires the Commission to publish notice of any amendments issued, or proposed to be issued, and grants the Commission the authority to issue and make immediately effective any amendment to an operating license or combined license, as applicable, upon a determination by the Commission that such amendment involves no significant hazards consideration, notwithstanding the pendency before the Commission of a request for a hearing from any person. This biweekly notice includes all notices of amendments issued, or proposed to be issued, from August 27, 2019 to September 9, 2019. The last biweekly notice was published on September 10, 2019.
