National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities June 2019 – Federal Register Recent Federal Regulation Documents

Pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act, notice is hereby given that the National Council on the Humanities will meet to advise the Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) with respect to policies, programs and procedures for carrying out his functions; to review applications for financial assistance under the National Foundation on the Arts and Humanities Act of 1965 and make recommendations thereon to the Chairman; and to consider gifts offered to NEH and make recommendations thereon to the Chairman.

This rule amends the IMLS grant regulations to revise the definition of ``museum'' to include ``tribal'' and ``cultural heritage.'' These amendments are necessitated by changes to the definition of ``museum'' in the recent reauthorization of the corresponding statute, namely the Museum and Library Services Act of 2018.

Pursuant to section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, as amended, notice is hereby given that a meeting of the National Council on the Arts will be held. Open to the public on a space available basis.
