Public Information Session Regarding Benin Compact Signing
The Millennium Challenge Corporation (``MCC'') will hold a public information meeting on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at the Institute for International Economics in Washington, DC. The meeting will inform interested parties about the MCC Compact with Benin, which will be signed on February 22, 2006. The event is being co-sponsored by MCC and the Center for Global Development. MCC's Chief Executive Officer, Ambassador John J. Danilovich, will be presenting remarks and members of the Benin Transaction Team, from both MCC and Benin, will participate in a panel discussion.
Notice of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Environmental Guidelines
On January 17, 2006, the Board of Directors of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (the ``Corporation'') approved the Corporation's Environmental Guidelines (``Environmental Guidelines'') and authorized the Corporation to apply them for the purpose of ensuring that projects funded under Millennium Challenge Compacts are environmentally sound, are designed to operate in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, and, as required by section 605(e)(3) of the Millennium Challenge Act of 2003, are not likely to cause a significant environmental, health or safety hazard. Notice of Quarterly Report (October 1, 2005-December 31, 2005)
The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is reporting for the quarter October 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005 with respect to either assistance provided under section 605 of the Millennium Challenge Act of 2003 (Pub. L. 108-199, Division D (the Act)), or transfers of funds to other Federal agencies pursuant to section 619 of that Act. The following report shall be made available to the public by means of publication in the Federal Register and on the Internet Web site of the MCC (https://www.mcc.gov) in accordance with section 612(b) of the Act.
