Financial Management and Assurance; Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government
On June 27, 2024, the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) issued an exposure draft of proposed revisions to "Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government", also known as the Green Book. To help ensure that the standards continue to meet the needs of the Federal community and the public it serves, the Comptroller General of the United States established the Advisory Council on Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government (Green Book Advisory Council) to review GAO's proposed revisions to the standards and consider other necessary changes. We are requesting public comments on the proposed revisions in the 2024 exposure draft. All comments received from the public will be considered a matter of public record and will be posted on the GAO website.
Personnel Appeals Board; Procedural Rules
The Government Accountability Office Personnel Appeals Board (PAB or Board) is finalizing amendments to its regulations. The PAB published a proposed rule on November 24, 2023, which contained several significant refinements to the Board's procedures. The General Accounting Office Personnel Act of 1980 provides authority to make these changes.
Request for Nominations for the Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC)
The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 established the Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee to provide comments and recommendations to the Secretary of Health and Human Services on physician payment models and gave the Comptroller General responsibility for appointing its members. GAO is now accepting nominations of individuals for this committee.
