Renewal of Agency Information Collection of a Previously Approved Collection; 60-Day Public Comment Request; Controlled Carriers
The Federal Maritime Commission (Commission) is giving public notice that the agency has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for approval an extension, without change, of an existing information collection related to controlled carriers. The public is invited to comment on the information collection pursuant to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.

The Federal Maritime Commission (FMC or "the Commission") is codifying its description of the Commission's seal and prescribing requirements for when the seal can be used. Use by any outside person or organization may be made only with FMC's prior written approval. Wrongful use of an official seal is subject to administrative action and/or criminal penalty.
Policy Statement on the Potential Use of an Investigatory Process To Support Determinations Regarding Filed Agreements That May Present Anticompetitive Features
The Federal Maritime Commission (Commission) is issuing this document to advise the public of the availability of a new policy statement. The policy statement describes the potential future use of the agency's administrative investigation process to enhance its determinations regarding agreements filed by ocean common carriers or marine terminal operators that may present anticompetitive features under the Shipping Act.
National Shipper Advisory Committee August 2024 Meeting
Notice is hereby given of a meeting of the National Shipper Advisory Committee (NSAC), pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The Committee advises the Federal Maritime Commission. The meeting will be held for the purpose of soliciting and discussing information, insight, and expertise pertaining to conditions in the ocean freight delivery system relevant to the Commission.
