In accordance with the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act (``PRA'') of 1995 (44 U.S.C. chapter 35), the Consumer Product Safety Commission (``Commission'' or ``CPSC'') announces that the Commission has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (``OMB'') a request for extension of approval of a collection of information associated with the CPSC's Safety Standard for Infants Swings (OMB No. 3041-0155). In the Federal Register of October 8, 2015 (80 FR 60885), the CPSC published a notice to announce the agency's intention to seek extension of approval of the collection of information. The Commission received no comments. Therefore, by publication of this notice, the Commission announces that CPSC has submitted to the OMB a request for extension of approval of that collection of information, without change.
Toys: Determination Regarding Heavy Elements Limits for Unfinished and Untreated Wood

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (``Commission,'' or ``CPSC'') is issuing a final rule determining that unfinished and untreated trunk wood does not contain heavy elements that would exceed the limits specified in the Commission's toy standard, ASTM F963-11. Based on this determination, unfinished and untreated trunk wood in toys does not require third party testing for the heavy element limits in ASTM F963.

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (``Commission'' or ``CPSC'') on October 26, 2015 published a notice announcing that, on December 9, 2015, there will be an opportunity for interested persons to present oral comments on a petition received for rulemaking under the Federal Hazardous Substances Act (``FHSA'') regarding additive organohalogen flame retardants. The Commission also will provide for presentations to be made remotely.

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (``CPSC'' or ``Commission'') received a petition requesting that the Commission initiate rulemaking under the Consumer Product Safety Act (``CPSA'') to require that manufacturers of floor coverings, floor coverings with coatings, and treated floor coverings label their products' slip resistance in accordance with the applicable American National Standards Institute (``ANSI'') standard. The Commission invites written comments concerning the petition.

On September 8, 2015, the federal departments and agencies subject to the Federal Policy for the Protection of Human Subjects (referred to as the ``Common Rule'') published a notice of proposed rulemaking (``NPR'') amending the Common Rule. Separately, on September 24, 2015, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (``CPSC'' or ``Commission'') proposed to adopt the Common Rule NPR by amending the Commission's regulations. The comment period for the Common Rule NPR is being extended; therefore, CPSC is extending the comment period for its proposed rule, accordingly.
