Agencies and Commissions December 6, 2011 – Federal Register Recent Federal Regulation Documents

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is soliciting comments from interested parties, including public interest groups, States, members of the public, and the regulated industry (i.e., reactor, fuel cycle, and materials licensees, vendors, and contractors), on proposed revisions to the NRC's Enforcement Policy (the Policy) and the effectiveness of the September 30, 2010 (75 FR 60485), revisions to the Policy. The intent of this request for comment is to assist the NRC in revising its Enforcement Policy.

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) publishes notice at least once monthly of certain Federal agency requests for records disposition authority (records schedules). Once approved by NARA, records schedules provide mandatory instructions on what happens to records when no longer needed for current Government business. They authorize the preservation of records of continuing value in the National Archives of the United States and the destruction, after a specified period, of records lacking administrative, legal, research, or other value. Notice is published for records schedules in which agencies propose to destroy records not previously authorized for disposal or reduce the retention period of records already authorized for disposal. NARA invites public comments on such records schedules, as required by 44 U.S.C. 3303a(a).

This document informs the public that an appeal of the closing of the Little America, Wyoming post office has been filed. It identifies preliminary steps and provides a procedural schedule. Publication of this document will allow the Postal Service, petitioners, and others to take appropriate action.

The Legal Services Corporation (LSC) will hold a telephonic public hearing to take comments on (1) the July 28, 2011 Report of the LSC Fiscal Oversight Task Force, which reviewed and made recommendations regarding LSC's fiscal oversight operations; (2) written comments previously submitted during the public comment period; and (3) reactions to those comments submitted by Task Force members.
