SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The
Department of Education (ED), in
accordance with the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA) (44 U.S.C.
3506(c)(2)(A)), provides the general
public and Federal agencies with an
opportunity to comment on proposed,
revised, and continuing collections of
information. This helps the Department
assess the impact of its information
collection requirements and minimize
the public’s reporting burden. It also

Abstract: This is a request for an
extension of the Office of Management
and Budget (OMB) approval of
information collection requirements
associated with the forms of the Health
Education Assistance Loan (HEAL)
Program, currently approved under
OMB No. 1845–0126, which expires
June 30, 2022. Clearance of this
information collection is necessary to
provide borrowers with information on
the cost of their loan(s) including Truth
in Lending information and to provide
the Department with information to
monitor the financial status of the HEAL
program and to identify which lenders
may have excessive delinquencies and
defaulted loans. The information
collection is essential for reporting and
retaining information for sound and
responsible program management.
