SAFEGUARDS:
EXEMPTIONS PROMULGATED FOR THE SYSTEM:
Records in this system of records are
safeguarded in accordance with
applicable rules and policies, including
all applicable DOL automated systems
security and access policies. Strict
controls have been imposed to minimize
the risk of compromising the
information that is being stored. Access
to the computer systems containing the
records in this system of records is
limited to those individuals who have a
need to know the information for the
performance of their official duties and
who have appropriate security
clearances or permissions.
Records in the system are protected
from unauthorized access and misuse
through a combination of
administrative, technical, and physical
security measures. Administrative
measures include but are not limited to
policies that limit system access to
individuals within an agency with a
legitimate business need, and regular
review of security procedures and best
practices to enhance security. Technical
measures include but are not limited to
system design that allows only rolebased access to authorized personnel;
required use of strong passwords that
are frequently changed; and use of
encryption for certain data transfers.
Physical security measures include but
are not limited to the use of data centers
which meet government requirements
for storage of sensitive data, physical
security maintained in secured
locations.
RECORD ACCESS PROCEDURES:
If an individual wishes to access their
own data in the system after it has been
submitted, that individual should
consult the System Manager.
CONTESTING RECORD PROCEDURES:

Individuals desiring to contest or
amend information maintained in the
system should direct their request to the
above listed System Manager and
should include the reason for contesting
it and the proposed amendment to the
information with supporting
information to show how the record is
inaccurate. A request for contesting

• Name, and
• Any other pertinent information to
help identify the file.
NOTIFICATION PROCEDURES:
An individual may request
information regarding this system of
records or information as to whether the
system contains records pertaining to
the individual from the System Manager
above.

claims taking and benefit payment
activities under state/federal
unemployment insurance laws. For
additional substantive information

This information collection is subject
to the PRA. A Federal agency generally
cannot conduct or sponsor a collection
of information, and the public is
generally not required to respond to an
information collection, unless the OMB
approves it and displays a currently
valid OMB Control Number. In addition,
notwithstanding any other provisions of
law, no person shall generally be subject
to penalty for failing to comply with a
collection of information that does not
display a valid OMB Control Number.

DOL seeks PRA authorization for this
information collection for three (3)
years. OMB authorization for an ICR
cannot be for more than three (3) years
without renewal. The DOL notes that
