The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards created by final stay cable adjustments at each bridge tower anchorage conducted from barges within Newtown Creek. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the U.S. Coast Guard Sector New York Captain of the Port (COTP) or the COTP's designated representative.
Amendment of the Class E Airspace; Ashland, KY
