SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This ICR
seeks approval under the PRA for
revisions to the Notice of Controversion
of Right to Compensation (Form LS–
207) information collection. Insurance
carriers and self-insured employers use
Form LS–207 to controvert claims under
the Longshore and Harbor Workers’
Compensation Act (LHWCA) and
extensions. This information collection
has been classified as a revision,
because the Department has provided a
list of possible reasons for controversion
that may be selected with a check mark.
LHWCA section 901(d) authorizes this
collection. See 33 U.S.C. 914(d).
This information collection is subject
to the PRA. A Federal agency generally
cannot conduct or sponsor a collection
of information, and the public is
generally not required to respond to an
information collection, unless it is
