The Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA) requires that the Secretary prescribe regulations to ensure that any funds eligible postsecondary institutions receive under the HEA are used solely for the purposes specified in and in accordance with the provision of the applicable program. 34 CFR 668.161 and 668.162 establish the rules and procedures for a participating institution to request, maintain, disburse, and manage Title IV program funds. The submission must include the name and lender identification number(s) for which the eligible designation is being certified.
