AGENCY: Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on October 31, 2016, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, 19 U.S.C. 1337, on behalf of DSM Desotech, Inc. of Elgin, Illinois and DSM IP Assets B.V. of the Netherlands. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 based upon the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain UV curable coatings for optical fibers, coated optical fibers, and products containing same by reason of infringement of certain claims of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,961,508 (‘‘the ’508 patent’’), 7,171,103 (‘‘the ’103 patent’’), 7,067,564 (‘‘the ’564 patent’’), and 7,706,659 (‘‘the ’659 patent’’). The complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by subsection (a)(2) of section 337.
