In accordance with the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44
U.S.C. chapter 3501 et seq.), ED is
proposing a new information collection.
DATES: Interested persons are invited to
submit comments on or before March 9,
2015.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The
Department of Education (ED), in
accordance with the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA) (44 U.S.C.
3506(c)(2)(A)), provides the general
public and Federal agencies with an
opportunity to comment on proposed,
revised, and continuing collections of
information. This helps the Department
assess the impact of its information
collection requirements and minimize
the public’s reporting burden. It also
helps the public understand the
Department’s information collection
requirements and provide the requested
data in the desired format. ED is
soliciting comments on the proposed

the quality, utility, and clarity of the
information to be collected; and (5) how
might the Department minimize the
burden of this collection on the
respondents, including through the use
of information technology. Please note

Abstract: The collection of
information through the Campus Safety
and Security Survey is necessary under
section 485 of the Higher Education Act
of 1965, as amended, with the goal of
increasing transparency surrounding
college safety and security information
for student, prospective students,
parents, employees and the general
public. The survey is a collection tool to
compile the annual data on campus
crime and fire safety. The data collected
from the individual institutions by ED is
made available to the public through the
Campus Safety and Security Data
Analysis and Cutting Tool as well as the
College Navigator.

select a chair and vice-chair and to
discuss the following items:

Consideration of Roles and
Responsibilities Document.
AGENDA:
Members of the
public who wish to speak at the meeting
on proposed changes to the Voluntary
Voting Systems Guidelines VVSG 1.1
may send a request to participate to the
EAC no later than 5:00 p.m. EDT on
Thursday, February 12, 2015. Due to
time constraints, the EAC will select no
more than 7 participants to speak. Each
of those selected will be allotted 5
minutes. Participants will be selected on
a first-come, first-served basis. However,
to maximize diversity of input, only one
participant per organization or entity
will be chosen, if necessary. Participants
will receive confirmation by 12:00 p.m.
EDT on Thursday, February 13, 2015.
