Abstract: The International Resource
Information System (IRIS) is an online
performance reporting system for
International and Foreign Language
Education (IFLE) grantees. IFLE grantees
are institutions of higher education,
organizations and individuals funded
under Title VI of the Higher Education
Act of 1965, as amended (HEA) and/or
the Mutual Educational and Cultural
Exchange Act (Fulbright-Hays Act).
Grantees under these programs enter
budget and performance measure data
for interim, annual and final
performance reports via IRIS, as well as
submit International Travel Approval
Requests and Grant Activation Request.
IRIS also includes a public Web site that
helps disseminate information about
IFLE programs.

updates the usage by individuals and
schools. This is necessary to determine
eligibility to receive program benefits
and to prevent fraud and abuse of
program funds.
