Abstract: This collection is necessary
to certify the identity of individuals
requesting information under the
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and
Privacy Act (PA). This certification is
required under 5 U.S.C. Section 552a(b).
The form is used by Privacy Act
requesters to obtain personal records via
regular mail, fax or email. The
department will use the information to
help identify first-party or third party
requesters with same or similar name
when requesting retrieval of their own
documents.

location of a meeting.
AGENCY:
This meeting notice is an
update to the previous notice published
in the Federal Register (79 FR 50888) on
August 26, 2014, and sets forth the time
and location for the December 11, 2014
meeting of the National Advisory
Committee on Institutional Quality and
Integrity (NACIQI). The notice of this
meeting is required under § 10(a)(2) of
the Federal Advisory Committee Act
(FACA) and § 114(d)(1)(B) of the Higher
Education Act of 1965, as amended
(HEA).
SUMMARY:
The NACIQI meeting will be
held on December 11, 2014, from 8 a.m.
to 5:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza

Statutory Authority and Function: The
NACIQI is established under Section
114 of the HEA of 1965, as amended, 20
U.S.C. 1011c. The NACIQI advises the
Secretary of Education about:
• The establishment and enforcement
of the criteria for recognition of
accrediting agencies or associations
under Subpart 2, Part H, Title IV, of the
HEA, as amended.
• The recognition of specific
accrediting agencies or associations or a
specific State approval agency.
• The preparation and publication of
the list of nationally recognized
accrediting agencies and associations.
• The eligibility and certification
process for institutions of higher
education under Title IV, of the HEA,
together with recommendations for
improvement in such process.
• The relationship between (1)
accreditation of institutions of higher
education and the certification and
