AGENCY: Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on April 17, 2014, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, 19 U.S.C. 1337, on behalf of ViXS Systems, Inc., of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and ViXS USA, Inc. of Austin, Texas. A supplement to the complaint was filed on April 25, 2014, and an amended complaint was filed on May 6, 2014. The amended complaint alleges violations of section 337 based upon the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain set-top boxes, gateways, bridges, and adapters and components thereof by reason of infringement of certain claims of U.S. Patent No. 7,301,900 (‘‘the ’900 patent’’); U.S. Patent No. 7,099,951 (‘‘the ’951 patent’’); U.S. Patent No. 7,200,855 (‘‘the ’855 patent’’); and U.S. Patent No. 7,406,598 (‘‘the ’598 patent’’). The amended complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by subsection (a)(2) of section 337. The complainants request that the Commission institute an investigation and, after the investigation, issue a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders.
