information collection.

assess the impact of its information
collection requirements and minimize
the public’s reporting burden. It also
helps the public understand the
Department’s information collection

soliciting comments on the proposed
information collection request (ICR) that
is described below. The Department of
Education is especially interested in
public comment addressing the
following issues: (1) Is this collection
necessary to the proper functions of the
Department; (2) will this information be
processed and used in a timely manner;
(3) is the estimate of burden accurate;
(4) how might the Department enhance
the quality, utility, and clarity of the
information to be collected; and (5) how

Abstract: The Consolidation Loan
Rebate Fee Report for payment by check
or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) will
be used by approximately 860 lenders
participating in the Title IV, Part B loans
program. The information collected is
used to transmit interest payment rebate
fees to the Secretary of Education.

NACIQI’S Statutory Authority and
Function: The NACIQI is established
under Section 114 of the HEA of 1965,
as amended, 20 U.S.C. 1011c. The
NACIQI advises the Secretary of
Education about:
• The establishment and enforcement
of the criteria for recognition of
accrediting agencies or associations
under Subpart 2, Part H, Title IV, of the
HEA, as amended.
• The recognition of specific
accrediting agencies or associations or a
specific State approval agency.
• The preparation and publication of
the list of nationally recognized
accrediting agencies and associations.
• The eligibility and certification
process for institutions of higher
education under Title IV, of the HEA,
together with recommendations for
improvement in such process.
• The relationship between (1)
accreditation of institutions of higher
education and the certification and
eligibility of such institutions, and (2)
State licensing responsibilities with
respect to such institutions.
• Any other advisory function
relating to accreditation and
institutional eligibility that the
Secretary may prescribe.
SUMMARY: This meeting notice is an
update to the previous notice published
in the Federal Register (79 FR 10508),
on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. This
notice sets forth the time and location
for the June 18–19, 2014, meeting of the
National Advisory Committee on
Institutional Quality and Integrity
(NACIQI).

NACIQI meeting will be held on June
18, 2014, from approximately 8:00 a.m.
to approximately 5:30 p.m., and on June
19, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at
