The Department of Labor
(DOL) is submitting the Office of
Workers’ Compensation Programs
(OWCP) sponsored information
collection request (ICR) titled, ‘‘Notice
of Final Payment or Suspension of
Compensation Benefits,’’ as proposed to
be revised, to the Office of Management
and Budget (OMB) for review and
approval for use in accordance with the
Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995
(44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.).
DATES: Submit comments on or before
February 13, 2012.

SUMMARY:
The
Notice of Final Payment or Suspension
of Compensation Benefits, Form LS–
208, is used by insurance carriers and
self-insured employers to report the
payment of benefits under the
Longshore and Harbors Workers
Compensation Act. While not affecting
the public burden estimates, the OWCP
intends to make this collection available
on the Internet as fillable/printable and
not fileable. The OWCP is also making
certain cosmetic changes to Form LS–
mstockstill on DSK4VPTVN1PROD with NOTICES
SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

logo with the DOL seal. These cosmetic
changes are not expected to affect the
public burden; however, they do make
it that this submission must be
characterized as a revision under the
PRA.
This information collection is subject
to the PRA. A Federal agency generally
cannot conduct or sponsor a collection
of information, and the public is
generally not required to respond to an
information collection, unless it is
approved by the OMB under the PRA
and displays a currently valid OMB
Control Number. In addition,
notwithstanding any other provisions of
law, no person shall generally be subject

The Department of Labor, as
part of its continuing effort to reduce
paperwork and respondent burden,
conducts a preclearance consultation
program to provide the general public
and Federal agencies with an
opportunity to comment on proposed
and/or continuing collection of
information in accordance with the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995
(PRA95) [44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)]. This
program helps to ensure that requested
data can be provided in the desired
format, reporting burden (time and
financial resources) is minimized,
