Abstract: This document is used by
States to request funds to administer the
Independent Living Services for Older
Individuals Who are Blind (IL–OIB)
program. The IL–OIB program is
provided for under Title VII, Chapter 2
of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as
amended to assist individuals who are
age 55 or older whose significant visual
impairment makes competitive
employment difficult to attain, but for
whom independent living goals are
feasible.
