Revision of Fee Schedules; Fee Recovery for FY 2009
Document Number: E9-4229
Type: Proposed Rule
Date: 2009-03-02
Agency: Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Agencies and Commissions
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to amend the licensing, inspection, and annual fees charged to its applicants and licensees. Based on the FY 2009 Energy and Water Development Appropriations Bill, reported by the U.S. House of Representatives Appropriations Committee, the NRC's required fee recovery amount for the FY 2009 budget would be approximately $870.6 million. After accounting for billing adjustments, the total amount to be billed as fees would be approximately $864.8 million.
Regulations Under the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008
Document Number: E9-4221
Type: Proposed Rule
Date: 2009-03-02

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (``EEOC'' or ``Commission'') is issuing a proposed rule that would implement Title II of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (``GINA''). Congress enacted Title II of GINA to protect job applicants, current and former employees, labor union members, and apprentices and trainees from discrimination based on their genetic information. Title II of GINA requires the EEOC to issue implementing regulations. The Commission is proposing these rules under that authority to provide all persons subject to Title II of GINA additional guidance with regard to the law's requirements. The Commission invites written comments from members of the public on these proposed rules and on any specific issues related to this proposal.
