This meeting will be the first meeting of the Task Force and will include introductions of the Task Force Members and Federal representatives, an overview of research on violence against American and Alaska Native women and of evaluations concerning efforts to respond to such crimes, and a Task Force Member discussion on the research and evaluation goals of the Task Force. The Task Force is also expected to hear from additional invited speakers who will provide information on research on violence against American Indian and Alaska Native women.
