State MEPs need a better understanding
of key demographics as well as a better
understanding of the special
educational needs of the binational
migrant student population. The
Binational Migrant Education Program
(BMEP) is an effort to support the
coordination of activities among U.S.
States that participate in programs in
Mexican States to improve the
continuity of educational and
educationally-related support services
for migrant students who migrate
between the two countries.
