RECORD ACCESS PROCEDURES:
A request for access to a record from
this system shall be made in accordance
with 28 CFR part 16 to the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA)/Privacy Act
(PA) Section, Headquarters, Drug
Enforcement Administration,
Washington, DC 20537 or to the System
Manager, with the envelope and letter
clearly marked ‘Privacy Access
Request.’ The request should include a
general description of the records
sought and must include the requester’s
full name, current address, and date and
place of birth. The request must be
signed and either notarized or submitted
under penalty of perjury and dated.
Some information may be exempt from
access to certain provisions as described
in the section entitled ‘Exemptions
Claimed for the System.’ An individual
who is the subject of a record in this
system may access those records that are
not exempt from disclosure. A
determination whether a record may be
accessed will be made at the time a
request is received.
CONTESTING RECORD PROCEDURES:
Individuals desiring to contest or
amend information maintained in the
system should direct their request
according to the Record Access
Procedures listed above, stating clearly
and concisely what information is being
contested, the reasons for contesting it,
and the proposed amendment to the
information sought. Some information is
not subject to amendment. Some
information may be exempt from
contesting record procedures as
described in the section entitled
‘Exemptions Claimed for the System.’
An individual who is the subject of a
record in this system may seek
amendment of those records that are not
exempt. A determination whether a
record may be amended will be made at
the time a request is received.

RECORD SOURCE CATEGORIES:
(1) DEA intelligence and investigative
records; (2) reports, investigative and
intelligence reports from other
participating and associated Federal,
state, local, territorial, tribal, and foreign
member agencies; (3) records and
reports of foreign law enforcement and
regulatory agencies; and (4) records
from commercial databases.
EXEMPTIONS CLAIMED FOR THE SYSTEM:
The Attorney General has exempted
this system from subsections (c)(3) and

(4); (d)(1), (2), (3) and (4); (e)(1), (2) and
(3), (e)(5) and (e)(8); and (g), of the
Privacy Act pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 552a(j)
and (k). The exemptions will be applied
only to the extent that information in a
record is subject to exemption pursuant
to 5 U.S.C. 552a(j) and (k). A
determination as to exemption shall be
made at the time a request for access or
amendment is received. Proposed rules
have been promulgated in accordance
with the requirements of 5 U.S.C.
553(b), (c) and (e) and are published in
today’s Federal Register.
Accordingly, the Department is
amending the certification to properly
reflect this matter.
The intent of the Department’s
certification is to include all workers of
Narragansett Jewelry, DBA C & J Jewelry
Co., Inc., and including Narragansett
Creations, DBA Crest Craft, Inc. who
were adversely affected by increased
imports.
The amended notice applicable to
TA–W–58,890 is hereby issued as
follows:

All workers of Narragansett Jewelry, DBA
C & J Jewelry Co., Inc., and including
Narragansett Creations, DBA Crest Craft, Inc.,
Providence, Rhode Island, who became
totally or partially separated from
employment on or after February 22, 2005,
through March 23, 2008, are eligible to apply
for adjustment assistance under Section 223
of the Trade Act of 1974, and are also eligible
to apply for alternative trade adjustment
assistance under Section 246 of the Trade Act
of 1974.

Adjustment Assistance
In accordance with Section 223 of the
Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C. 2273), and
Section 246 of the Trade Act of 1974 (26
U.S.C. 2813), as amended, the
Department of Labor issued a
Certification of Eligibility to Apply for
Worker Adjustment Assistance and
Alternative Trade Adjustment
Assistance on March 23, 2006,
applicable to workers of C & J Jewelry
Co., Inc., Providence, Rhode Island. The
notice was published in the Federal
Register on April 12, 2006 (71 FR
18772).
At the request of the State agency, the
Department reviewed the certification
for workers of the subject firm. The
workers are engaged in the production
of sterling silver jewelry.
New information provided by the
State shows that the correct name of the
subject firm is Narragansett Jewelry,
Inc., DBA C & J Jewelry Co., Inc., and
including Narragansett Creations, DBA
Crest Craft, Inc. Information also shows
that workers separated from
employment at the subject firm had
their wages reported under separate
unemployment insurance (UI) tax
accounts for Narragansett Jewelry, DBA
C and J Jewelry, and including
Narragansett Creations, DBA Crest Craft,
Inc.

petition be withdrawn. Consequently,
the investigation has been terminated.
