Abstract: The Quick Response
Information System consists of two
survey system components—Fast
Response Survey System for schools,
districts, libraries and the Postsecondary
Education Quick Information System for
postsecondary institutions. This survey
will go to 2200 public elementary and
secondary school districts. It will
provide current information about the
number of enrollments of students in
distance education courses, as well as
the types of technologies most
commonly used for delivering such
courses. In addition information will be
collected about completions of these
courses and offerings of dual credit and
advanced placement courses via
distance education.
