announces that the Information
Collection abstracted below has been
forwarded to the Office of Management
and Budget (OMB) for review and
approval. The nature of the information
collection is described as well as its
expected burden. The Federal Register
notice with a 60-day comment period
soliciting comments on the following

Abstract: In accordance with Public
Law 101–624, the Secretary of
Transportation issued requirements for
the submission of applications for
designation of vessels as American
Great Lakes Vessels. Vessel owners who
wish to have this designation must
certify that their vessel(s) meets certain
criteria established in 46 CFR part 380.
This collection of information is
mandated by statute to establish that a
vessel meets statutory criteria for
obtaining the benefit of eligibility to
carry preference cargoes.
Annual Estimated Burden Hours: 1.25
hours.

on a requested administrative waiver of
the Coastwise Trade Laws for the vessel
ALIENTO.
AGENCY:
SUMMARY: As authorized by Pub. L. 105–
383 and Pub. L. 107–295, the Secretary
of Transportation, as represented by the
Maritime Administration (MARAD), is
authorized to grant waivers of the U.S.build requirement of the coastwise laws
under certain circumstances. A request
for such a waiver has been received by
MARAD. The vessel, and a brief
