Section 2-35 - Certification to the State Board of a Case Originally Brought Before A County Board of Equalization

If a county board of equalization concludes that a case before it concerning locally-assessed property may be appropriate for consideration by the Board, it may request, in writing, stating the reasons therefore. The Board shall expeditiously decide whether certification is appropriate. If certification is granted, the case shall be docketed by the Board and considered pursuant to this chapter. If certification is not granted, the matter shall remain with the county board of equalization for disposition.
