(a) Footing shall be used as necessary and as required by the site's existing conditions to provide a stable base for the special services derrick.
(b) If supplemental footing is used, it shall be such that the safe bearing capacity of the soil on location is not exceeded. Supplemental footing is a foundation base other than cement or solid rock.
