Section 8-7 - Safety Procedures for Fuel Tanks

(a) Specific requirements.
(i) Except for the fuel in the
tanks of the operating equipment, Class III liquids, and those with flashpoints
higher than Class III liquids, no gasoline or other liquid fuel shall be stored
within seventy-five (75) of a well bore.
(ii) Propane or butane tanks shall be placed
parallel to any side of the rig.
(iii) Tanks shall be properly marked to
indicate their contents.
(iv)
Piping and/or tubing for fuel tanks shall be protected against damage from
vehicles by elevation, burying or other effective means.
