Section 6-2A - Disciplinary actions in other jurisdictions

(a) Final disciplinary orders entered in other jurisdictions against Wyoming licensed physicians and physician assistants shall be handled as follows:
(i) Those with current Wyoming licenses who
are practicing in Wyoming may be subject to a board initiated complaint and
investigation pursuant to chapters 4 and 5 of these rules, as
appropriate.
(ii) Those with
current licenses but practicing out of state may be served with a consent
decree requiring the physician or physician assistant to notify the board in
writing at least thirty (30) days prior to returning to the state to practice.
The consent decree shall be a final order of the board, subject to reporting as
provided in these rules and regulations. If a physician or physician assistant
fails or refuses to sign such a consent decree, he or she may be subject to a
board initiated complaint and investigation pursuant to chapters 4 and 5 of
these rules, as appropriate.
