Chapter 2 - APPROVAL OF ANALYTICAL METHODS
Section 2-1 - Blood Alcohol Analyses

(a) Alcohol free or blank samples shall contain an alcohol concentration of less than 0.005% when analyzed by the analytical method.

(b) The analytical method shall have an accuracy of ± 5% of the alcohol value, or ± 0.005% if the alcohol concentration is less than 0.100%.

(c) The analytical method shall not be susceptible to interference by substances other than alcohol.

(d) The state agency shall keep a complete description of the method on file.

(e) Upon satisfactory demonstration of (a), (b), and (c) above an approved procedure sheet or checklist will be issued by the state agency.
