Section 44-26 - License and Conservation Stamp Expiration

(a) Fishing licenses, small game licenses, game bird licenses, combination small game/game bird licenses, furbearer hunting or trapping licenses and game bird farm licenses shall be valid until the expiration date as indicated on the individual license. All other licenses expire on the last day of the calendar year in which issued.

(b) Except as otherwise provided in Commission Regulation, big game animal and wild bison licenses issued in one (1) calendar year are valid through the closing date established in January of the next succeeding calendar year when a hunting season for big game animals or wild bison opens during one (1) calendar year and closes in January of the next succeeding calendar year.

(c) All daily hunting or fishing licenses shall only be valid for the calendar day(s) delineated on the license. A nonresident five (5) day fishing license is only valid for five (5) consecutive calendar days.

(d) Conservation Stamps. Conservation Stamp Authorizations issued through the ELS shall expire twelve (12) months from the date of purchase or twelve (12) months from the previous Conservation Stamp expiration date as indicated on the document exhibiting the conservation stamp privilege.
