Chapter 11 - OPERATION OF VICTIM SERVICE PROVIDERS SERVING VICTIMS OF ALL CRIMES PROGRAMS
Section 11-5 - Training Requirements

(a) All staff and volunteers shall complete 40 hours of initial training. Paid staff shall complete the training within the first three months of employment. Volunteers must complete the training before providing direct services. Training shall include:

(i) Crisis intervention;

(ii) Domestic Violence/Sexual assault;

(iii) Special Populations;

(iv) Child Abuse;

(v) Overview of the Criminal Justice System;

(vi) Legal Advocacy;

(vii) Victim/Witness Assistance;

(viii) Overview of Victimology;

(ix) Victim's Compensation;

(x) Victim's Bill of Rights;

(xi) Case Management;

(xii) Homicide and Death Notification;

(xiii) Restorative Justice; and

(xiv) The Community Network System.

(b) Ongoing training requirement: Paid staff shall complete 10 hours of annual training after the first year of employment.
