Section PSC 135.621 - Maximum allowable operating pressure: high-pressure distribution systems additions [49 CFR 192.621]

(1) After 49 CFR 192.621(a)(3), insert:
(3w) No person may operate a segment of a
cast iron pipe.
(2) After 49 CFR 192.621(b), insert:
(cw) Sixty p.s.i.g. in individual
distribution systems or portions of a system. The intercity or supply mains for
these distribution systems may be operated at pressures higher than 60 p.s.i.g.
if the number of services supplied from these mains are limited and these mains
are not an integral part of the distribution system. The pressure and the
services supplied from these higher pressure intercity and supply mains shall
be limited to 60 p.s.i.g. unless the service lines are equipped with series
regulators or other pressure limiting devices as prescribed in
49
CFR
192.197(c).
