Section PI 34.013 - Organization and administration of educator preparation programs

(1) SCD AUTHORITY. If an entity is an institution, it shall ensure the SCD is clearly identified and has the responsibility, authority, and personnel to develop, administer, evaluate, and revise each educator preparation program at the entity.
(2) WRITTEN POLICIES. An entity shall have policies on all of the following:
(a) Faculty selection, promotion, and
tenure.
(b) Faculty teaching
loads.
(c) Faculty professional
development opportunities.
(d)
Community service expectations.
(3) RESOURCES AND FACILITIES. If an entity is an institution, it shall do all of the following:
(a) Ensure the SCD has adequate resources to
support teaching by faculty and scholarship by students.
(b) Ensure the SCD has sufficient facilities,
equipment, and budgetary resources to fulfill its mission and offer quality
programs.
(c) Ensure that the SCD
involves constituent groups from the local community in the development,
evaluation, and revision of any educator preparation program.
