The purpose of this chapter is to provide a streamlined process for the management of accumulated sediment removed from storm water management structures in a manner that protects public health, safety and the environment and reduces the need to dispose of accumulated sediment in landfills. This chapter is adopted under authority of s. 227.11, Stats., and ch. 289, Stats.
