Section 126-85-110 - Meal Service

110.1. Not less than three hours nor more than four and one-half hours should elapse from the beginning of the school breakfast service to the beginning of the school lunch service. A minimum of ten minutes of eating time (after going through the serving line) is to be provided for the school breakfast and a minimum of twenty minutes eating time (after going through the serving line) for the school lunch.

110.2. All foods available at the meal period are to be a part of the menu and be included in the regular meal price. If food is available, second food items may be offered at no charge after the student has eaten the major portion of the meal. Adults shall not remove food from students trays for the consumption of any other person.

110.3. If "super meals" or choice of milk (i.e. milkshakes) are offered, the student who is eligible for free meals must be offered the same service as the paying student at no cost and the student eligible for reduced price meals must be offered the same service at no additional cost.

110.4. Second meals consumed by students shall be reported as non-reimbursable.
