The criteria for educational support are to be used to determine whether or not high quality support services are offered to all students. Policy 2510, RegulationsforGeneral,Vocational,andSpecialEducationalPrograms, this, and other general policies apply to each identified program of study listed in the Educational Support Services volume.

SUMMARY OF INTERPRETIVE RULE
This policy identifies the educational support services and presents the following criteria of excellence for each support service: Program Definition; Program Delivery (administrative practices, professional practices, personnel, facilities, materials, supplies and equipment); Program Assurance (student evaluation, program improvement, and school improvement.) The educational support services to which these high quality standards apply are: counseling and guidance services, health services, library/media programs, pre-kindergarten programs, remedial education, school psychological services, social services and attendance, traditional kindergarten programs, transportation services, nutrition services. Also included are high quality staffing ratios for educational personnel at the school and county level.
