Series 126-044M - West Virginia College- and Career-Readiness Programs of Study/Standards for Career Technical Education (Policy 2520.13)
Section 126-44M-1 - Purpose

1.1. Scope. -- W. Va. 12GCSR42, Policy 2510, Assuring the Quality of Education: Regulations for Education Programs (Policy 2510), provides a definition of a delivery system for, and an assessment and accountability system for a thorough and efficient education for West Virginia public school students. W. Va. 126CSR44M, Policy 2520.13, West Virginia College- and Career-Readiness Programs of Study/Standards for Career Technical Education (Policy 2520.13), defines the college-and career-readiness programs of study/standards for career technical education (CTE) as required by Policy 2510.

1.2. Authority. - W. Va. Constitution, Article XII, §2; and W. Va. Code §§ 18-2-5, 18-2E-1, 18-2E-11, 18-5-19B, 18-6-1 et seq., 18-9A-22, and 30-7A-8.

1.3. Filing Date. - November 8, 2023.

1.4. Effective Date. - July 1, 2024.

1.5. Repeal of Former Rule. - This rule repeals and replaces W. Va. 126CSR44M, Policy 2520.13, West Virginia College- and Career-Readiness Programs of Study/Standards for Career Technical Education, filed February 10, 2022, and effective July 1, 2022.
