Title 126 - PROCEDURAL RULE BOARD OF EDUCATION

Section 126-28-1 - General

1.1. Scope. -- This rule establishes the criteria for approving and operating programs for four-year-old children and three-year-old children as mandated under federal law and is referred to as West Virginia Universal Pre-K (WV Pre-K).

1.2. Authority. -- W. Va. Constitution, Article XII, §2 and W. Va. Code §§ 16-3-4, 18-2-5, 18-2E-1 et seq., 18-5-17, 18-5-18c, and 18-5-44.

1.3. Filing Date. -- July 14, 2022.

1.4. Effective Date. -- August 15, 2022.

1.4.a. Unless specified otherwise within the policy.

1.5. Repeal of Former Rule. -- This legislative rule amends W. Va. 126CSR28, West Virginia Board of Education (WVBE) Policy 2525, West Virginia's Universal Access to a Quality Early Education System (Policy 2525), filed July 9, 2020, and effective August 10, 2020.
