Section 114-35-1 - General

1.1. Scope. -- The purpose of this rule is to set forth rules and procedural requirements that the Commissioner deems necessary to carry out the provisions of the West Virginia Holding Company Systems Act (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"). The information required by this rule is hereby declared to be necessary and appropriate in the public interest and for the protection of the policyholders in this state. This rule is based on the National Association of Insurance Commissioners' (NAIC) "Insurance Holding Company System Model Regulation with Reporting Forms and Instructions" (Model 450), as amended December 16, 2010.

1.2. Authority. -- W. Va. Code §§ 33-27-14 and 33-2-10.

1.3. Filing Date. -- April 20, 2012.

1.4. Effective Date. -- July 1, 2012.
