(1) When fed manually from the floor above, conveniently located emergency stop devices must be provided at the top level.
(2) When fed from floor above:
(a) The chute opening, if less than
standard guardrail height from the feed platform or floor, must be provided
with a complete guardrail or other enclosure to standard guardrail height;
and
(b) Openings for manual feeding
must be sufficient only for entry of stock and must be provided with at least
two permanently secured crossrails, in accordance with, the general safety and
health standards, WAC
296-24-75003.
