Section 296-115-100 - Penalties for certificate of inspection and operator's license violations

(1) For owners of vessels, any violation of the certification and inspection provisions of this chapter is punishable according to the penalties provided under the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act, chapter 49.17 RCW.

(2) The following fixed schedule penalties apply:

(a) For failing to display certificate of inspection as required in WAC 296-115-025(8), $50 to owner of the vessel.

(b) For a nonowner who operates vessel without a valid certificate of inspection, $100 per violation.

(c) For operating a vessel in passenger service without a valid USCG/state of Washington operator's license, $100 per violation to the owner of the vessel.
